It's very hard to look into the beautiful, loving eyes of your dog and not see the total devotion he/she has for you. When I was a child we had a Springer Spaniel similar to the one depicted in this painting whom had 13 puppies in one litter. She was my favorite dog. As I painted this beautiful dog I had a great desire to seek one out and bring him into my home.
