Portrait of a friend and family painted as wolves for thier family room affectionately referred to as "the Wolf Den". Each wolf image has characteristics of the person the image represents and presented as a photographers portrait setting. Oil painting on heavily gesso pimed burlap. I was experimenting with the surface after seeing artwork by another artist who was painting on burlap. My concern is the durability of burlap as a painting strata. The painting is framed in a 4" gold metal leaf and compo frame.
