I have been an oil painter for some 50 years and have traveled throughout the US as my husband worked for the Boeing Company on the Missile Program. Through those years my camera and sketch book were close at hand so that when we settled at a new location I would go out and paint, photograph or sketch.  My way of acquainting myself with the land so to speak.The landscape has always fascinated me what with the change of color, the movement of the grasses on the plain and the beautiful morning or evening light that brings so much depth to what I focus on.I am basically self taught, but have had some great mentors along the way who have cajoled, advised and schooled me in the way of preparing my support, laying in a grisaille and of course, color mixing.  In all the years of painting there is always something new to learn.My work has been shown in many galleries and has earned awards in the various states where we lived. Some works are located in Europe, Australia and throughout the US.  Enjoy the art. :)
