I recently returned from teaching workshops for Farbi Flora in Berlin, Germany. For the last week I traveled with my wife to Munch to enjoy the art in this great city. This painting was from a series of photos that I did in the Beer Gardens. Munich is a friendly city with many opportunities to sit out side and enjoy their beer.I returned to my studio and painted this direct on canvas with oil. I focused on the patterns and textures that surround Kathy and capture the Beer Garden.
