Malcolm was our second Pomeranian that we received from the Stevens County Dog Rescue. We heard that he had been caged for his first 6 months and had never walked on real ground until we rescued him. Kathy met the rescuers in Loon Lake on a sub-zero day in January. Malcolm was huddled in a cage obviously freezing. Kathy brought him into our nice warm van and Malcolm was so happy for the warmth. From that day he loved vans and was constantly trying to get into them when he saw them.It took weeks to train Malcolm to walk on ground and then walk on a leash and then walk down the street. He was one of our favorite dogs.I painted Malcolm several times. Here he is in the snow one winter. He has his shorter haircut.
