I am looking for romance and gentleness in this particular painting.This is drawn directly on the canvas (the way I like to begin) in varying shades of blue and mauve. This was partly inspired by a print I saw once in my mother's cellar. It was a young woman standing by a garden gate. I imagine that this young woman is waiting for someone.
