Out of a herd of nearly forty Texas Longhorn cattle, three of the usual suspects were bunched together as they checked me out. Of course they were pretending not to see, the better to not be seen, as young creatures often believe. But I saw them just fine and a likelier trio would be hard to find.Part of the current calf crop, these young longhorns were only a few months old, still nursing, and with tiny horns that had just become noticeable. Standing knee-deep in side-oats gramma, the native grass lush from a wet spring and early summer, the babies were irresistible in their innocence http://www.rushcolefineart.com/HORSES.html
