Cameras capture time and light. I am a street photographer, taking advantage of expressions on faces and moments that girls are twirling their skirts, 1950s style. I love working in the studio as well. I try and evoke some kind of emotion in the viewer while always composing the image through the lens. The power of a single photograph is still relevant today. Urban and rural architecture and the loneliness of the landscape is also a theme in my work. Signage, lost stories, and lost histories are captured and can only be imagined or redeemed through photography. I also love encaustic painting.
