About

I have been an artist all of my life, drawing madly as a kid.  I majored in art at Western Michigan University, graduating in 1962.  I then taught art in the public schools, later English and Art.  I received my MA in Studio Art in 2001 from Eastern Washington U.  I had been a weaver /fiber artist for 51 years, and when breaking my back in an auto accident, I turned to Watercolor painting, something I had not been successful with before.  I have started two Co-op Art Galleries, one in Escanaba, MI and going and growing for 32 years, and another one in Spokane, WA , started in 2003, after I retired from teaching.  I have entered many juried exhibitions, and this year have been at the Art on the Green, in Coeur d'Alene, ID and now at the Museum of Arts and Culture, Spokane, WA with the Watercolor Society Exhibit
